The Pursue Files
THE
PURSUE
FILES
The U.S. government just unlocked 78 years of UFO secrets. 162 files. Astronaut testimonies. Combat zone sightings. Infrared footage. Here is every verified fact — in the order that will make you question the sky.
May 8, 2026. 9:16 AM.
The door opens.
The Pentagon pressed a button. A government website went live. And 78 years of classified records on unidentified objects in Earth's skies became available to anyone with an internet connection — no password, no clearance, no press conference. Just a URL: war.gov/UFO.
The site crashed within hours. Tens of millions of people tried to open the same door at once. The government had spent nearly eight decades locking these files away. The public consumed them in minutes.
What follows is every verified fact from the first release. Every claim is sourced directly from the Department of War, the FBI, NASA, the State Department, and Pentagon press materials. Nothing here is speculation. Nothing is embellished. The facts are unsettling enough on their own.

How the Lock
Was Finally Broken
In February 2026, Barack Obama appeared on a podcast and said casually that aliens were "real." His team clarified within hours. But the quote had already gone everywhere. Days later, President Trump directed the Pentagon to "begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs)."
The program built to execute this: PURSUE — the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters. First tranche: 120 PDFs, 28 videos, 14 image files. Total footage: 41 minutes. Most show infrared — a white object tracked by military sensors, moving through air or space, never identified.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth: "These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation — and it's time the American people see it for themselves."
Whereas previous Administrations have failed to be transparent on this subject, with these new Documents and Videos, the people can decide for themselves, 'WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?'

Who Said Something
In December 1965, four and a half hours into Gemini 7, astronaut Frank Borman radioed Houston: "Bogey at 10 o'clock high." He described "hundreds of little particles going by to the left, out about three or four miles." The transcript sat classified for 61 years. No explanation was ever provided.
During Apollo 12, Alan L. Bean stood on the Moon and radioed mission control about "flashes of light" "sailing off in space." Then: "It looks like some of those things are escaping the Moon." Verbatim in the released files. Never explained.
The Apollo 17 files contain a NASA photograph from December 1972 described as showing "three 'dots' in a triangular formation" in the lunar sky. Astronaut Jack Schmitt also reported "a flash on the lunar surface north of Grimaldi crater." Both remain unresolved.
Verified. Still Open.
"Many of the materials have not yet been analyzed for resolution of any anomalies." — Pentagon, May 8, 2026

Silence Breaks
The files are open.
The answers are not.
The Pentagon released 162 documents on May 8, 2026. They span 78 years, six continents, dozens of trained military observers. Astronaut reports from the lunar surface. FBI memos to J. Edgar Hoover. Combat zone sightings. Diplomat cables from six countries. Federal agent encounters the Pentagon calls "among the most compelling" reports it holds.
At the end of almost every document: the same word. Unresolved.
The government did not release these files to tell you what the objects were. It released them to show you what was seen. Frank Borman saw something at 10 o'clock high in 1965. Alan Bean watched things escape the Moon in 1969. A drone operator at a classified test site saw a blinding linear object in 2023. Federal agents watched an orb launch other orbs. An object made 90-degree turns at 80 mph over Greece.
None of it has been explained. All of it is now public record. Additional files arrive every few weeks at war.gov/UFO. This declassification has barely begun.
The sky has always looked the same. What changed on May 8, 2026, is that the government stopped pretending the questions didn't exist.
While all of the files have been reviewed for security purposes, many of the materials have not yet been analyzed for resolution of any anomalies.
