Feel it still

With every moment passing, they were coming closer, falling some more in love with each other, despite all the irregularities, all the disparities. Often at midnights, he would like to stay awake fantasising her memories - how she smiled, how she looked at him & how he had accidentally caught her staring at him. He would recall her smile again and again and smile to himself - she is beautiful. 

He would open her Instagram and adore all her photos one by one, recite her name with love. Further he would check her friend list reassuring that she was single. 

He liked how she wore her clothes. He liked her how she wore her T- shirt and skinny jeans, or when she wore A jacket zipped high to her neck or unzipped showing a part of her breast. He liked when she sat crossing her legs or when she fell asleep laid on the desk. He wished he could play with her hair while she was asleep. He would fantasy how it would feel to kiss her. 

Next day, they met again at a friend's birthday party. It was a picnic tour to Gangtok, the nearest spot for them. 

Today they sat close - next to each other, with 5 other friends. It was a cool winter evening & they had already had a number of long eye contact with each other. He felt it more and heavy. She was looking more pretty in the mild firelight. She was attracting him like a gravitational pull. 

He felt it intense. He felt she too felt it. And next this is how it started - right from a kiss. First they talked and when they were close enough it started. He wasn't sure who was the initiator - either him or her. 

It wasn't that long, and it certainly wasn't the kind of kiss you see in movies these days, but it was wonderful in its own way, and all he could remember about the moment is that when his lips touched, he knew the memory would last forever.

' I love you ' he said ' and I want to propose you before everyone'.

She laughed out aloud. Every one hooted. He felt shy for having been kissed in front of all his friends, for he knew that now he would be teased by them again and again - and suddenly she grabbed him again, by his neck and they had a long filmy kiss this time.
